C'est mme plutt le vide, et pas le vide intersidral, celui dans lequel nous plonge ce "Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld" (aprs deux ou trois plages dansantes dmarrant chacun des deux disques) qui revisite et modernise le dub tout au long de titres de plus en plus longs, de plus en plus planants, faisant intervenir bruitages de cosmonautes, ressac d'ocan extra-terrestre, voix oniriques, effets en tous genres, rfrences aux grands planants des annes 70, et pas seulement Pink Floyd (ce passage bucolique rappelant fortement nombre de titres du "mga-planeur", comme "Grantchester Meadows" sur "Ummagumma" par exemple) avec lesquels The Orb a t si souvent compar - l'album "Meddle" a d'ailleurs t une grande influence pour AP comme il le reconnat lui-mme, et c'est David Gilmour en personne que l'on retrouve sur "Metallic Spheres", le dernier album en date du Docteur Paterson et de son quipe de scientistes no-psychdliques, sorti cet automne; mme si la culture musicale de ce dernier vient avant tout de Brian Eno, Kraftwerk (cet autre passage voquant - et pas qu'un peu - le "Autobahn" des automates de Dsseldorf), du dub et de la techno.
